Our Story

A church where you can discover God and seek answers to spiritual questions… a church where you don’t have to attain a certain social status to fit in… a church where people are seeking to better understand God and what His Son Jesus is like… a church that isn’t something you do on Sundays, but is a living community seeking to make a difference in people’s lives and in the community… a church that exists to help people find their way back to God.

The dream of that type of church burned in the heart and soul of the men, women, students and children who planted Genesis Church in 2003. This original team of people was determined to become a church that would reach out to people in the community, especially those who had given up on church and on God.

After meeting in apartments, other church buildings, a banquet hall, and a school, Genesis finally found a more permanent home at 1702 Pleasant Street in the fall of 2007. Meeting in a former warehouse, our building invites people to come as they are.

Genesis Church is a non-denominational church. Our desire is to become a church in the Hamilton County area that will serve as a community for people who want to start over and connect with Jesus and others in a new way.

Genesis Church exists to help people find their way back to God.

Matthew 28:18-20

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

At Genesis, every thing we do focuses on the 3C’s: Celebrate, Connect, & Contribute. We believe these are three key experiences that give you the greatest start in a growing relationship with Jesus.
