GenKids is the children's ministry of Genesis Church. This ministry exists to provide a fun and safe environment for children and their families to find their way back to God.

Who can participate in Gen Kids?

With the help of our committed volunteers, GenKids provides a safe environment where children can enjoy great learning and loving relationships from birth through 5th grade.

How do I know my child is safe in Gen Kids?

GenKids places a high priority on safety. Every Sunday when you arrive, each child is registered while parents receive a nametag with an ID number. Should your child need you during the service, that number will appear on the side screens. Don’t lose your ID tag. You must show your portion of the ID tag to pick your child up after the service.

Every volunteer is required to go through a screening process before they serve. This involves a volunteer application and background check.

What takes place in my child’s room each Sunday?

Beginning in the infant, walker & toddler rooms, Christ's love for children is demonstrated by providing a safe and clean environment in which the children can sing and play allowing their parents to experience a worship service.

Preschoolers (3-5 year-olds) take a first look at the Bible and the truths it holds. Children will learn that: God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever, & Jesus wants me to treat others the way I want to be treated.

From kindergarten through fifth grade, children continue to apply the Bible directly to their lives in a fun and creative way in order to engage the hearts of the children.

The focus is to teach kids: Jesus came to save me; I can Trust God no matter what!; I can make the wise choice!; I can treat others the way they want to be treated!

Children participate in hang time with others, worship time, and small group time.
